Employees view performance improvement initiatives as “more work” to be avoided.  Until you convince them you’re not like the others, you are living on borrowed time.

Once you have given them a taste of success, and they cheerfully return your calls, you will have the beginnings of an implementation.  Until then, the clock is ticking.
